I wasn't sure where to post this, but the topic is somewhat of a network issue.
What are the chances of an ODBC Client Configuration changing from TCP/IP to Named Pipes on its own?

What are the chances of an ODBC Client Configuration changing from TCP/IP to Named Pipes on its own?
- I am fully aware a DSN created by some software will set up Named Pipes as the connection type by default.
- After install, you have to change to TCP/IP
- I did not reinstall the software that created the DSN.
- I am not the only one to have access to this server.
- I suspect that the Client Configuration cannot change unless someone or some type of software changes it.
- No software on this server or org. is programmed to change the DSN Client Configuration to Named Pipes.
- We don't use Named Pipes.
