Sweet!!! Thanks. I have been needing a great deal on a digital camera. The OD in Summerlin Las Vegas had one S50 (Display model) left. I luckily asked, and they had one of the Nikon 5400 in the back with a missing 16 MB memory card. They gave it to me for $220. I love this forum! Thanks big time TimeKeeper!

My local OD had the C-50 listed for 149.88 on a clearance table - but they were all gone. Nearby city had one last one - I ran over there, got it for $199, returned it to my OD, then bought it back for $149.88. :D :D

This forum is great!

An OD about 30 minutes away had one Nikon 5400 in stock and they said they would hold it for me. However, when I got there it turned out that it had already been held for another guy who just happened to walk in when arrived. I was a little bit miffed so the manager said I could choose any comparable camera from their stock and I'd have it for $299. Well, they didn't have many cameras so the choice was between an Oly C-750 and a HP-945. The fact that the Oly uses xD memory was a no-no for me (since all my memory is either SD or CF, with matching readers), so I went with the HP (marked at $500). They then allowed me to use a $30 Staples coupon, so my final cost was $269 plus tax. Before I went to the store I signed up for Office Depot Advantage which should get me another $20 back. :)

Went to the OD here in New Orleans and they were out of the A80s. Spoke to a manager and it turns out that it was price matched last week for another camera they had on sale and ran out of stock on. No dice on ordering on at the same discount. Picked up a C-50 and was also told that the C-50s are no longer going to be carried by OD and the sale was going to last until every unit in the stores was sold. So I think if you can't get one at a local store, they should be able to order you one at the same price.

BTW, obviously this was my first post so if I messed up somehow, let me know. Thanks.

Well, I went to Office Depot and bought the Nikon 5400. Why? I don't know. I think I'm going to have some stuff hit to put my account in OD, oh well :D. I need to sell my other camera (Fuji A310) quick, fast, and in a hurry. It appeared that mine was open box. It had a cut out on the box and the camera was outside the box behind the glass. So, they gave me some product replacement for a year, valued at 44.99. I would have rather had the camera for $45 cheaper, but oh well.
Thanks Timekeeper. Is this a really good camera? LOL, I bought it not knowing anything about it. I looked on Ebay and saw they sell higher than $300, looked at a few reviews on Amazon and saw it had 4 star rating, so I went for it.

I knew something was going to happen. I got home and opened the box and there is no charger for the camera :( I called them and they said they will look for it and call me back.

Well, I bought it and apparently it was open box, but everything was included. I got home opened everything up and I was missing the english manual and charger. So I call and then I go pick it up, go back home try to put the battery that was in the camera in the charger and it won't fit. I do a little comparing and research and realized that the battery is a cheap $5-6 battery, not the $40 rechargeable battery. I call and go back up there and they look for another recharge battery w/no success. I brought a printout from Wolf Camera that shows the battery at $39.95. So they issued a refund on my CC for $43.20, I believe. I went and picked up a $10 battery to use for now and I'll order one off ebay for maybe $10-20. So I got the camera and the replacement plan for a total of $277.22. Now the hunt for the battery and accessories....

I got the Nikon 5400 for 291 after tax...

it was 299, but there were no more except for the display one. So I told the manager that I wanted the one on display, and they gave me 10% off. It came with everything, and the warranty, so it was a pretty good deal. The cheapest I coudl find htis online was 420 or so.

What's the deal with the Canon A80 pricing mentione here and elsewhere? It's listed at full price on the back page of the current week's circular for OD.

I checked my local OD's, and they only have this camera for full price. Is this deal actually published anywhere? I searched the OD webpage and can't find a mention of this deal.

Did you have them ring it up? It is advertised for the regular price, but rings up for the sale price.

I missed out on all the crazed digicam sale at OD (one freaking day late) but just checked the local OD store in Huntington Beach and they still have the Nikon Coolpix 2100 kit for $124. The camera is sold elsewhere for $199.

Gonna try Staple's $30 off of $150 coupon today.
