BTW, what are those Sharp Wizard's? Can someone explain or describe what it is?

the model for the yellow Oregon Scientific weather radio is wr-8000, and I got 3 of the at my OD for $1.88, not $4.88.

i also picked up some Rolodex 128KB electronic organizers for $2.88, but I don't know the sku for that...

don't know why i buy all this crap though... if anyone wants any of this stuff, let me know........

the sharp wizards, if i am correct, are sharp's high end electronic organizers... i remember when they first came out, models ran as much as $500!, but nowadays, they just can't compete with PDA's... i suppose they really do perform the same functions as PDAs, but are more difficult to use, although some did have styli and touch screen pads. they're nothing more than glorified electronic organizers, sort of a bridge between the pocket casio-type organizers and PDAs

dietcoke: they seem to still be dropping prices on the clearance stuff, unfortunately there may only be one or two left at one store in the middle of nowhere USA... Do you happen to have the sku# for that yellow weatheradio?

UNKNOWNDUDE: If the wizard 730 is that high at your local, is your OD one of the stores that is closing? It seems that they are not updating the closing stores with the clearance prices. The prices are often different between what they are marked and what they ring up as too, so take it to the checkout and see what happens. I wasn't able to get a 730 but I have the reciept for the 770's if that will help. If you can snag an extra 730, pm me!

GambiT: the wizard is an awesome electronic organizer that has a z80 cpu and a nice keypad, the 730's have 1.5megs mem and the 770's have 3 megs and you can load free software on them from
Mywizard.com with games, utils, and even a term. Neat toy and the best organizer I have ever had.

I just called OD in San Rafael. The girl on the phone knew EXACTLY what radios I was talking about. Kept me on hold while "someone would check on it for me." They were probably laughing out loud in the workroom because they already pocketed them! In her nicest most politest voice: "I am really sorry, he said the FRS 115 is the only one we had in stock."

I posted an earlier message after a conversation I had with an OD manager. He told me that most items will stay in place and not moved to clearance until a replacement item can fill the spot....so they won't have holes.

wow, is that a good deal? i know it is only 5400, but is it that much worse than a 7200? is this clearence, or just a good price? thanks for the heads up.

that's a damn good (clearance) price.... i got the ata/66 7200rpm 20.5 for $60 from Sam's but that was with a rebate....

good luck getting one....

I sent in the rebates on the Cobra 2-way radios, but Im not holding my breath on them. It said for Radio Shack purchases.

I also checked the other B&M s in my area. Seemed the 2 I found, was dumb luck.

ultanium: it's funny about the radios... about 2-3 weeks ago, i had just run through all the OD's in my area looking for a palm vii and decided to stop by the daly city one, which is closest to my house. i never go there cuz their clearance section sucks, but i decided to stop by anyways. i just happened to walk by the glass case and saw 3 radios sitting there but not marked.... i had the rep scan it, and when it showed up at $1.88, i took all of them. i just thought it was funny cuz i never find anything here and all the workers seem to snatch up deals for themselves ("what?.. palm vii? yeah we have 5 in stock.... oh wait... darn, they are all gone!?!) but anyways, i don't have the sku on me but i'll see if it's on the box when i get home.
