If you guys want something that REALLY works great, look into the VoIP Blaster from Creative Labs. I saw it first at COMDEX, and it works a lot better than Gamevoice in my opinion. I bought Gamevoice at Fry's around Christmas for $39, then I found VoIP Blaster for $19 at onvia.com. Too late to return the gamevoice...oh well... *shrug*
Why I like VoIP Blaster better:
a) A lot cheaper than gamevoice.
b) Doesn't require your soundcard. It has it's own processor!
c) Because of b), I don't worry about the quad vs duo speaker problem
d) Interfaces with any cellphone headset, and/or any analog phone. Do I hear speakerphone anyone?
e) Voice quality is WAY better than gamevoice, and you can actually understand what your friend is saying since the voice isn't getting mixed with the game sounds
That's mainly it. It also came with some kind of internet phone calling service. It was like $5 free for calling anywhere in the world. We didn't really use that part, all my relatives are here. But we game with it all night without any problems...
There was an excellent review of it in March issue of PC GAMER magazine, page 101 I think...
My 2 cents...
