Picked up a LabTec 12-watts Amplifier Speakers Model Number LCS-2422, Regular price 79.99, Clearanced for 43.88.
Combined that with a 48 CD Wallet (for my daughter to store her dreamcast games in) Regular Price 24.99, clearanced
for 6.88. Total was $52, used my $15 off coupon I got in the mail, out the door with $105 worth of stuff for $37.

Anyone have any experience with these speakers? Most of the reviews I have read were very positive, but it
doesn't have headphone jack. How can I set it up so I can still use headphones? Splitter off the sound card?
 
Milage varries a lot with OD clearance... I've never been able to locate any products listed as clearance deals here at my local OD's.

Actually, I have these speakers which I got for free after a Staples/Best Buy pricematch MIR thing back in the summer of 2001.

They had these speakers on special at Best Buy for $19.97 - went to Staples and pricematched their $49.99 price against BB - Staples receipt printed out with $20 MIR 😉

The speakers are very good for the original $49.99, excellent for $19.97 and out of this world for free 😀

You can also see a re-badged version of this set by Logitec in Staples - same price (49.99) same subwoofer but differently styled sattelites.

So even at $43 you will not be disappointed 😀
 
Wow...I hooked these up last night and they sound AWESOME.... lot's of floor shaking with that subwoofer.
Makes a big difference. Much nicer than my KOSS SX-50's (which are now on my desk at work).

Also, forgot to mention that OD had lots of flat-bed scanners (HP) on clearance for around $30.
 
Don't know if this is regional or what. At least it is an additional item to look for while your at OD. I was able to grab 2 Risk II Computer games for $.88 each. I was at a Portland, OR branch for those of you asking.
