OD B&M is clearing out joysticks: Sidewinder Precision 2 for $7.88 & others

picked up precision 2 at the UT county OD. They price matched the Sylam, CA receipt linked in earier post. They would only let me get one of these. Bummer--but at least I got one!!! Could somebody post a MS sidewinder game pad receipt and then I'll pick up one of those as well. Thanks
 
You can find the link to the Gravis joystick rebate from gravis.com if you want to search. It's a $10 MIR and it doesn't have an expiration date. I sent one in about three months ago and got back a $10 check promptly.

the blackhawk in OD doesn't have the orange sticker on it.. Can you still get rebate without it?

BTW, anyone please help with the receipt scan of Wingman Wheel/padel USB. I successfully pm the MS Sidewinder Precision 2.

Is the wingman formua GP wheel supposed to be on clearance next week? Because none in NYC seems to be marked at that price yet.
 
I don't know. But if you read crobusa's post, it is obvious clearance in chicago (at least some store). The store menager ask me to prove it...

went to OD at downtown LA, found 4 MS sidewinder precision 2. 🙂
all were on the clearance table and priced 24.99, showed them the receitp for 7.88.
They did the price match right away.

It's good to hear that some people are getting the deal with the receipt.

I received the free after rebate MS Combat Flight Sim 2, my first flight sim, from Amazon yesterday and has been using the Sidewinder stick. I have never known that flight sims are this difficult.
 
Some store numbers would be useful too...if you happen to know the store number near you I can check it and see what they have.
 
I have just come back from OD Sylmar, CA store (on Foot Hill Blvd) , and they had 6 more MS Sidewinder Precision 2 for, this time, $9.88. (as of 1:00pm Friday 1-4-2002)

A thought of getting them all and taking advantage of the liberal post X-mas return policy almost crossed my mind, but as being a moral citizen, I left the store empty handed.

If you live in Southen California, go get them.
 
Just got the SW Precision 2 for $7.88 at OD in Lombard, IL. 🙂 When I showed the receipt the sales clerk and manager were incredulous, but after the manager called the Sylmar, CA store they sold it to me. The manager was very cool about the whole thing once he verified the price. He said is was a mistaken price at the Sylmar store but that they were obligated to match it. Very professional of OD.

Has any of you already picked up the six Precision 2's from the Sylmar store? If so, let us know so that I can edit the thread.
 
So the original Sidewinder Gamepad (Gameport w/DaisyChain port) wont work with Windows XP?
What kind a crap is that?

Has anyone confirmed this who actually tried it under Windows XP?
 
THe Sidewinder gamepad (gameport) works with XP. I use 2 daisy chained on XP Pro. You can't use the Profiler software though.
 
i tried the receipt at two local ODs. no go. neither one would pricematch and the sticks rang up 49.99. guess i'll keep trying some of the other stores here.
