Would the canon a70 still be the better camera for roughly $120 more?

Amazon.com has it for $218.
You would have no rebate to contend with and no tax shipped free.

Btw my store here in T-town has plenty of canon a60's if anyone wants to know.
 
Does anyone have a problem with the AVIs this thing makes? I get audio, but no video. Running Media Player 9 and it doesn't try to download codecs or anything when it plays. No problems with the other bazillion file types I can play.

I believe the videos use the MJPEG codec, so you might want to download ffdshow
