is this a good buy at $141.99 after MIR? i believe it is uses synchronous flash.

One of the fastest 120GB SSDs on the market in benchmarks

CON
Historically some issues with Sandforce controller SSDs, in particular the 2200 series used in this drive
OCZ is on again, off again in regards to customer service
Really similar drives (same controller, cheaper NAND) such as OCZ's own Agility 3 and Solid 3 models have been cheaper for the same capacity in the past couple months
