OCZ Vertex 2 90GB 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive $164.99 after $30 mail

Considering the fact that the GSkill 120GB W/SandForce controller was very recently $195 with no rebate, no this is not a good deal.

And that's not counting that these Vertex 2s have had quite a few problems lately...

First of all, that was a shellshocker, so that deal isn't coming back any time soon. Secondly, if someone only needs a 90GB boot drive, paying $30 more for a 120GB doesn't help them at all. Plus this drive probably has similar NAND capacity with a lot more overprovision than the 120GB, which has very little.

They're both good deals, it's hard to compare 90GB pricing to 120GB.

i disagree about the "shellshocker, so that deal isn't coming back any time soon" part. i bet we see better than that deal before xmas. jmo
 
I got my gskill 120gb for 169 from that deal because the coupon promo code still worked :thumbsup: should be arriving monday
