OCZ "Value" VX

It was brought to the attention of Ryan Peterson of OCZ that a certain line of their Value PC-3200 were being made on the same die that is used with VX.

Here is a quote from Ryan on XS:

OK guys I noticed that we were making one of our Value PC-3200 products using the same WB die we use in VX , they are only tested for the value spec , but they are super low cost and still come with the OCZ warranty , so basicaly I asked the PM ( product manager) to make a part number that specificed UTT Winbond that had not been speed binned , I would say that that in most cases these should perfoma as well as VX 3200 ( though I cant be certain as they are untested )

The part number is OCZ4001024WV3DC-K
It is currently available at ATACOM for a mere $149.95

Here's your chance to go crazy if you have an DFI NF4 Ultra-D/SLI DR and want to do 250Mhz, 2-2-2, 3.3/3.4v

i've always been a gambler. thanks op

by the way, are there any nforce 3, agp socket 939 boards that has vdimm up to 3.2v or more? i really don't want to get ddr booster nor go pci-e route.

 I also heard this from the thread and purchased some from atacom. I had a great experience, with them shipping the same day. Also, the ram runs 225htt 2-3-2-5 on 2.7v. I cant wait to do the vdimm mod so I can give them at least 3.3v so i can get 250htt 2-2-2-5 like all ive seen with these have been getting.

Unfortunately, the only board I know of that does over 3v is the DFI LanParty UT NF3-250GB, but it only goes to 3.1v.

The only feasible alternative if you don't want go get a booster is doing a hard-mod for extra VDIMM.

Picked me up a set.

Even if I get a "failure" of 1gb of 2-2-2 PC3200 RAM, that's great for the cost 🙂
