I saw an article about it somewhere recently, maybe on Dailytech. OCZ's support and replacement system is top notch (better than EVGA, I would say), but at the moment that card is a good $50 more than most of the other 8800GTXs.

They are going for the high end, with top spec memory mainly (since it's their area of expertise).
There have been a couple of articles on DailyTech about it.

Interesting.

Since they seem to gear all of their products towards gamers (mainly memory, power supplys, thermal paste), I'd really be interested in seeing if they can squeeze a bit more performance out of the design. There isn't a ton you can do with an already designed card, but I'm sure people would be happy to buy a high-end card with a revolutionary heatsink design if it could be offered for only slightly more than the norm.

They sold the OCZ Titan3 which was a GeForce 3 card, so it wasn't THAT way back. Way back would be like 3dfx Voodoo Graphics and Riva128 or something. Now WAYYY back would probably be like S3 Vision 968, Trident or Tseng Labs on the VLB. :p
