I hope not. I just ordered some.

EDIT: I read through the whole rebate form and everything. As far as I can see, everything looks legit.

I had a $20 credit from their 1tb drive price mistake. I'm making money now.

That is just to big of a rebate, plus price will come down, plus it could get lost in the mail.

Man, very tempting but that rebate is outrageous. And something smells kind of fishy with the amount of problem OCZ rebates right now. I'd use a bit of caution.

the voltage spec for that ram is 1.9V... that is pretty retarded... that means you would have to run your CPU VTT at 1.4V minumum which is equally as retarded IMHO (by intel spec the VTT and DRAM V MUST be within .5V of each other)

I'm sure you could run this at DDR3 1333 at well less than 1.9v. Kind of a steal for $5, but that is one HUGE rebate :D

This RAM is designed for X38/X48 chipsets where the voltage doesn't matter as much, hence why it's rated for 1.9v. Also any 2x1GB or 2x2GB kits are not built with i7 in mind. All "i7 ready" kits are in tri-channel packages, so 3x1 or 3x2GB.

Edit: OOS anyways

consider the relatively long time to get ocz rebate and the rams doesn't work well on x58 mobo, i'll not buy it again. Have used this on x58 before, not happy with at all.

I think I have gotten all my OCZ rebates in the past. The thing that scares me is the 14 day mail in window you are given from the purchase date.

Considering I ordered a 4am today and it's already shipped, most likely not picked up, the 14 day window isn't going to be a problem.

+1 on getting OCZ rebates, I'm 2 for 2 so far (well assuming I get the 2nd one, which they just confirmed they received my claim so seems like smooth sailing from there). Haven't heard of any problems with OCZ rebates and haven't had any problems myself.

I have done several OCZ rebates in the past couple of months and haven't had an issue with any of them. They have all come in well before the deadlines without any work on my part (other than mailing them in). If this was in stock I wouldn't hesitate.

You bet for $110 I'm going to videotape me licking the envelope.

I sent in a memory rebate recently and got back a "no upc included" card. And even though I have photo-copies of everything I sent them, including the UPC, they would not budge siting their "quality control."

Sorry. All that illustrates is poor quality control (at best) or willful customer fraud (at worst.) I am disciplined in that I put together my rebates on the day I receive the product and I photocopy *everything.*

Given my recent experience, I'm not surprised that others are also having problems as well.

I won't be buying any more of their products. Rebates are hassles enough without having dishonest people handling them.

You should have complained about it on the OCZ forums. OCZ uses a rebate clearing house but can instruct the place to send the rebate check anyways.

Even though it's OOS it looks like Mwave caught there pricing error and changed it to $179.99 making this an average deal at best.

Unlike all those Dell deals that fall flat because of poor qc with there website, I bet Mwave comes through on there orders.
