I know that this topic has been talked to death. I'm still torn thought I beleave for the moneis the OCZ Power stream is the best buy( correct feel free to suggest others) my system specs are below I will be adding a second or maybe third case fan this summer when temps go up. I know that I need a new one due to the fact of slow benchmarks for system and randum program shut downs mostly durring heavey gaming. and always low voltages with .7VDC swings (11.81 to 11.23 during operation with high end meter not MB)is the 420watt PSU going to be enought? I'm not worried about Future prof I will have this system for a few years and my next I'm sure will be with BTX.

I'd recommend getting the 520watt. Anything around 400 is going to be to easy to overload esp. once we get into faster procs, and SLI video card setups ect. Systems are becomming power hogs, especially if you have alot of HD's, mutliple optical drives, powerfull video card(s), fast processor ect.

Anything 450watts+ should be ok, but I'd recommend at least 500watts. The OCZ Powerstreams are the best I've used, so get their 520watt PSU.

they had a problem with the 520 about them blowing up but i heard its not the psu its people who plug them in wrong. i am probably gonna go with the enermax 470 whisper. i was looking at the ocz powerstreams i bet they are good ocz is a good company.

The best for the money is probably going to be Fortron/Sparkle. OCZ has a reputation I can respect, but being new to the PSU business, they've had some problems with some of their supplies. They've been making things right with their users who have received bad PSUs though, which is why they get my respect.

I got an OCZ 520w in late OCT when a Antec TruePower died...it is a very nice PSU and I have had zero problems with it...it is very quiet and I hate fan noise

Well I just ordered a OCZ 520 power stream. With that I feal I have a full upgrade. I hope that it takes care of the above reported probloms I should have it before the week end. I'm looking forward to rebenchmarking with no other changes. It should prove or deprove how valuable a highend PSU is at least it will to me.
