It is sais Antec True550 has larger deviation of 12V than OCZ. Is this true?

Which PSU is better? Need to decide soon, please give suggestion

OCZ > * 🙂

Though the other is good as well. But seeing that my PSU performs incredibly well, I can't say anything else but "take the OCZ, screw the others". xD

OCZ is much better. They have reports of the 520 rolling through 620Watts for a few minutes (no one has tested it for more than a few minutes though.

Antec is really good but OCZ is gonna be better (ie Quieter, more powerful).

I'm going to go with the OCZ here too. Although, please don't factor in the adjustable POT's as a deciding factor. I think those are just so 'tard. 😛

Look at the Antec 550 EPS version I'd say it's better than both ps's your looking at.

Jose

Depends on what mobo your looking at. Supermicro p4sct(P4) & Dual Opt/Xeon & the new Asus NForce4 SLI mobo's use a 24pin connector.

Looks like many new mobo's will go this route. Also there are adapters that go from 24pin to 20pin.

the +12V rail is Antec 550 (24A $99.99) , Antec 550 EPS(36A $112.50) & the OCZ 520(33A $139)

Jose

And 24 to 20 pin adapters are everywhere. HEY LOOK! Here's one sitting on my desk. 🙂

if you go to www.silentpcreview.com you will find the Antec 550 is louder than the OCZ 520w but is still on there recommended list

I think both are a good choice..I went with the OCZ 520w....5 yr warranty...I liked all the connectors

2 single special shielded 4pin for VGA/HDD
1 PCI-E
2 SATA
2 with 3 4pin molex and floppy
works with P4/P8
20pin/24pin
leads are braided or shielded

For what its worth it has a very nice mirror finish too

It is quiet..also I liked the idea of the front/rear fan vs bottom and rear like my old Antec TruePower 480w

Also I like the idea of the adjustable POTS...not sure whether this is really important or not

I have been using the OCZ 520w for about 10days now and I anm very happy with it

Also my rails never seem to change
