If you have a MicroCenter near you, i7 920 has been $230+tax for months. Newegg also has it for $279, which is similar to the price of comparably performing 45nm Intel Quads like the Q9550 and Q9650. The boards still cost more, but there's actually quite a few now in the $180-$220 range. RAM used to be the biggest price gap, but its come down significantly as this deal shows. There's plenty of 6GB kits in the $80-$120 range with and without rebates.Originally posted by: yusux

It's too bad, I really wanted to support OCZ and buy their products. But I'll be avoiding them at all costs now as a matter of principle.
