OCZ PC8500 DDRII 1066 2x1GB

Hi

Im having problems getting my system to recognise 2GB of the ocz reaper pc8500 ddrII 1066, the settings suggest it to be set to 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1v, i tried a few settings to no avail system just crashes, updated the bios on the ga-ep45-ds3 from f3 to f9 version and still no improvement, ive tried both sticks in different positions, nothing, i really feel like whoop ass kicking my compatuter to bits is there other settings i may need changing? i'll put as much info as i can when i check them ..please any help would be grateful as ive waited for 4 weeks for a reply from gigabyte, also is there any memeory checking program that find faults?
 
Memtest86 is your best option. Free download, burn to disk, boot from disk with memory installed in "normal" slots (1 & 3 most likely).

If you get errors RMA the memory. If you don't get errors, RMA the memory.

Heh.

Not really kidding, OCZ makes some crappy DDR2 memory, known for compatibility problems with various motherboards.
