OCZ PC3700 vs Corsair PC3700

Wow. Im clearly impressed.

Im also amazed at the $230 they run for 2 sticks of 256MB, they dont come cheap either.🙁

OCZ Pc3700 works well with intel platforms for AMD go with the Pc3500 Platinum OCZ stuff

my ocz pc3700 takes 3.17 volts to be stable at or above 227 fsb on my abit nf7s rev 2.0. timings are at 5 3 2 2

My Corsair 3700 TwinX 1 gig is now at 210FSB completely stable, and currently pushing harder. I'll pay extra for Corsair for their proven track record, as OCZ really doesn't have one to be proud of.

And I only paid $300 for mine.. ppppphhh 😛

I've got the Corsair RAM as well, no problems at all I got 2 GB of the stuff for 600 bucks about 4 weeks ago(2 TwinX sets).

a couple of months ago i would pick XMS or OCZ, but OCZ el has really impressed. XMS timings on 3700 and 4000 are crap. ocz el pc3700 will most likely do 250 mhz with much better timings

OCZ inside \/ 😀 proud owner of the 3700...blehh to oldfart for doubting DDR500 1:1 speed against 5:4 for the price lol j/k.
running happily at DDR500 but at somewhat looser timings... 2.5-4-4-8 (2.85V) on P4P800 dunno why...and it causes graphic corruptions although passed both memtest and prime25 for cpu.

I am running my gold at 250 1:1 2.5-3-3-7. I am starting to believe all this timming hype is all crap. It might be something to worry about on the slower Athlon systems but on the P4 C's I don't think it matters. I ran Sandra w/ the Gold and got the same scores @ 3-3-3-7 as I did @ 2.5-3-3-7. When I was using the OCZ PC3500EL I got the same scores +- 40 pts from 2-2-2-6 all the way up to 3-3-3-7 at the same FSB. So these timings in my mind are a waste. It is all about the FSB speed.
