To give a quick rundown, I ordered new memory 2 x 512mb kits for my computer a week ago from Amazon.com and got a pretty good deal on them also got rush delivery so I can upgrade my rig from 1gb to 2g. When the memory finally arrived I installed it on my computer and booted up my computer....Checked my system properties and instead of it saying something close to 2048 mb of memory ( i know it won't say exact memory) its saying that I have 1280mb. So what I went ahead and did was post on the OCZ/DFI Tech support forums since I've posted there with issues with my motherboard before and received excellent support for my issues.....I was contacted by an OCZ Tech Support Staff member and they advised me to RMA the product after hearing about my problem....
I used a program called CPU-Z which was able to tell me the exact specifications of the memory I got...It is reading 128mb module size instead of 512mb and running at pc2100(133mhz) when it should be pc3200(400mhz)

I took out my old memory and used the new memory only in my computer...My pc was reading the two memory sticks as the same size as it was last time..two 128 sticks..
The following are the screenshots I see on cpu-z ....Its basically showing that the first two slots are the old memory I have that are working fine...then slots 3 and 4 are the new memory
Here are the screenshots to make it easier for you guys to see what I see on my end according to CPU-Z

So I have to RMA, send out the package to OCZ in California...and possibly have to wait 3-4 weeks before I even get new memory that will actually work....I'm a little disappointed and I'd like to know if you guys suggest I should just send this back to Amazon.com and ask for a refund, and just order memory that will actually work...in other words me spending a bit more money on better memory
