Couple years ago when the ULTRA modular PSUs hit the street, questions were posed to some of the established leaders in that industry segment, and notably to PC Power and Cooling -- manufacturer of the pricey bout well-touted Turbo-Cool model.

Their representative said that they didn't like the idea because wiring that was not secured to the PSU using solder joints increased resistance.

I use a modular Antec NeoPower 480W on one of my systems, and installed another on an over-clocked system I built for my brother. That model uses a modular approach to the wiring, and we've never had any problems with them.

My own "MOJO" [now, with case-window and LEDs, so MOJO Electroglide in Blue] -- uses an OCZ PowerStream 520. That series was significantly less efficient than the GameXSTream models, but a very thorough review of eight different PSUs showed the PowerStream to have the least ripple.

Therefore, it is sad that the manufacturer fell down in its standard for this latest series.

But the price is right, no doubt . . . .

I just got mine from them. They are not bad, at least them replied my email and send me tracking info ASA it is available. They shipped with in 4 business day as promised.

Wow, you know Monarch has fallen pretty far when someone says that TD with a rebate is more reliable....
 
Hmm, I had a good experience with Monarch.

I ordered the 700W OCZ from them. Very fast delivery and processing. They shipped it 2 days after I placed the order and I received it 2 days after that (I think I used their 3 day shipping option). Arrived in good condition.

I'd order from them again.
