OCZ GameXStream 700w + 260 GTX?

I was just wondering if the GameXStream would be good enough to support my computer. Check the rig in my signature, I've updated it.

Here's the PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817341002
It comes with a $40 Mail In Rebate so it's pretty much 64.99. If I get this and a 260 GTX, will it run my computer okay or do I need more power? I'm a gamer, STALKER: Oblivion Lost, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Bioshock, etc.

uhh...i can't really view your rig for some reason. but the GameXStream should be quite enough for a single GTX260.

700w is a lot of power. It wasn't until the 1kw psus came out did people start to question their 500w+ supplies, which for most gamers is plenty.

Yeah, I know it's a lot of power, but I prefer to have a lot of power and be ready for future components, than to languish with just the minimum power required.

I have the OCZ GameXStream 700 Watt.

It just killed a raptor and a Velociraptor and random reboots my PC...

Just FYI incase your PC randomly becomes flakey. Maybe a fluke, but I would expect something like this to never happen.

Man I really should start coming to this forum more often:

Ditch that GameXStream PSU. It's based off the FSP Episilon PSU design which has out of spec ripple, or voltage fluctuations, at high loads that can damage or kill your system. Granted, you may not reach such high loads but why pay for a PSU that can kill your system?

Hopefully you haven't bought the PSU just yet.

Other PSU recommendations:
Corsair 650TX
Corsair 750TX
BFG ES-800
BFG LS-550
BFG LS-680
PC P&C S75CF

I have already purchased it and it's shipping...I didn't know it could possibly cripple or kill my system...I might have to return it...

Get the Corsair 750TX,beening running my i7 at 3.8Ghz in my sig flawlessly for a month now since I built my i7 system.Should be one of the most trustworthy psu in the 700-800W range.

I would also reconmend the PC Power and Cooling 750 Quad, mainly because it is 69 dollars after rebates, and great qualit as well.
