They used to be quicker, but they do take forever any more. 🙁
 
/shrug, I'd just save 50 bucks by taking DDR2-800 with stock CL4 and switch it over to CL5 so I could hit DDR2-1000, but that's just me 😱 Good deal if you don't like messing with RAM timings though/don't want to bank on getting a decent set that can hit 1k
 
looks like the gold series from the picture. If you check their site, there is only gold and platinum series on their site.
 
go to the ******thread, someone claeed and got part #...... its the extreme's.... I was ognna dump them on ebay, but they are so high end....you might have trouble unloading them.
 
I called this in asking for part number. The rep said OCZ2G10002GK. That is the Gold Edition, was hoping it would be the Extreme Edition 🙁
 
conroe uses 800 i think, but intel stuff usally great with high bandwidth not like AMD require better cas latency. As far as pricing.. well doubt it's going any where even lower. After all, the 800 is gonna be around 200 bucks any way.
