Zippy/Emacs is/was always top rated, all Etasis built units, most 3Y and Seventeam units are very good, Delta IS entering the retail market in Asia and soon the EU, the USA will be served later. That enough?

Well, you've managed to name all of the psu makers on the planet, whom have managed to build a psu roughly comparable to a PC P&C. But, I would have sworn that I asked for a list of psu makers that built better psu's.

PCP&C is not all that. Their marketing was very good. Need your e-pee pee supported? Buy a PCP&C and brag away.

Don't be mad because you can't afford a PC P&C. I'm not mad that I can't afford a Lamborghini.😉

Never.

The old ones were Topower. The new ones are FSP/3Y.

Personally I like my PC Power & Cooling Silencer more than my OCZ PowerStream. I'm more of a fan of the lack of LEDs in a PSU. Last thing I need is another PSU like the old Thermaltake one I used to have... it was a multi-color LED fan that would change colors. I believe it received the nickname "the gay disco circus."

I'm glad I bought my Turbo-Cool 1KW-SR when I did. It remains to be seen if PCP&C PSUs remain "real" PCP&C PSUs & not just rebranded OCZ PSUs. I won't "hold my breath"!

Seems this is a fairly decent synergestic merger for both of the companies.

You have OCZ who apparently has no power supply design team (why else would they have used Topower previously and now FSP for some of their power supply sourcing) and PCP&C with a good design team but horrible marketing into the retail channel.


So maybe this well get OCZ to drop using the FSP Epsilon as a basis for their GameXstream line of power supplies (and the horrible ripple control issues as you approach full load that FSP is notorious for having) and PCP&C's design team will properly design some lower-end units for production for OCZ by maybe Seasonic....as PCP&C already uses Seasonic for their production of the Silencer power supplies. Hope OCZ sees fit to let PCP&C continue to use Win-Tact as the OEM supplier of PCP&C's Turbo-Cool line of power supplies.

Or maybe OCZ will have enough spare capital that they can actually provide PCP&C their own production facilities and get out from under having to source the production of their power supplies by outside manufacturers. While PCP&C does indeed design very good power supplies, having to have them be produced by outside manufacturers cuts out part of the profit margin the company could realize and does open up PCP&C's designs to being "lifted" by other sticky fingers at the OEM sources. And that kind of stuff does happen........but I don't really think industrial espionage of this sort is much of a fear in the power supply arena.


But I do have a question, though. PCP&C is adament about modular cabling being the devil's work. Says about as much in their "Myths" page. So then, why does PCP&C allow Performance PC's to modularize any and all PCP&C power supplies---with the full graces of PCP&C---and with the full warranty from PCP&C completely intact. Any hypocricy in that?
