Saw this on outpost. Are prices dropping or something on memeory? Last week this stuff was $169 and I thought that was a good deal. Anyways this stuff is now $129.99 with free shipping. Seems pretty hot to me. Ive never seen 2gb of PC6400 memory this cheap before.

On top of that there is also a rebate floating around for possibly another $25 off. Dont hold your breath though, I called and the lady said outpost was not on the list. But you could try anyways and hope to get lucky. :)

Check the link man it says right down below. Anyways they are 4-5-4-15. Which is only 1 TRCD number higher than the Rev.2 stuff, and that stuff is like over $200.

I have 2 sets of these....and they O/C pretty well. I'm using them on both a Asus 650i chipset @ 950mhz(5,5,5,15)@2.1v and on a Gigabyte 965P-DS3 @910 mhz(5,5,5,15)@2.1v

Huh? Err opps. I forgot to update that link. They started a new one 3/16. Its good from 3/16 to 3/31. Like I said in my post, I dont think its valid for outpost..but im still gonna send it in anyways. Might as well try right. That would make it like $115 after rebate if it worked. :)

EDIT:
link updated.

Memory prices keep on dropping, and prices are reasonable for the first time in a year :)

I picked up 2x1GB of the Super Talent DDR2 so I'm good for now, but this deal is HAWT.

I have the rev. 2 of these and they oc well over 1Ghz with no trouble so I would think these would have similar results as well.

Not sure which is better but zipzoomfly.com has the corsair kit for $140AR + free shipping. So if you didnt want ocz from outpost, there is that as well for a similar price. Corsair

why would you want the corsair at $140 AR?

I checked those are 5-5-5 timing with a $50 rebate? you can even get the OCZ R2 @ 4-4-4 for $149 AR. I still think the $139 cost at frys is hawt!

How hot this is really depends on whether you think the memory market will continue tanking with the glut of chips coming. This price drop has been long predicted (if you read semiconductor news websites anyway) since the prices were initially insanely high in Q4 '06 due to holiday demand from the big OEMs, and then they started to taper off slightly in early '07, then the retail market started to come down, and then the flash memory glut lead to the switch to DDR2, which leads to the DDR2 glut...and finally we're seeing some relief in retail prices =)

I wonder how much longer the prices will keep dropping...who knows where the bottom is lol.
