(I've bought an Asus P5W DH Deluxe and am trying to find a quality stable and compatible 2 x 1 GB memory set for it) (also got an Intel BoxDG31PR ordered, but I think value ram might work well there).

edit: about $10 cheaper at Zip Zoom Fly, though I am not sure how good an etailer they are.

No. And won't scale as high as D9's either. Very stable and very reliable, Promos chips, I've been told by a beta tester. Very good budget ram, though.

mshan, Either sets are great, dependable memory. They are very similar, I'm reasonably sure they both use Promos chips. I have several pairs of each, along with many sets of Ballistix, and would chose either of those you listed over the D9 Ballistix, I've had too many failures with them.

Edit- There is no guarantee you will receive the ones in the picture, but you will receive that product number. I've used ZZF for quite some time, service after the sale is not on the level of NewEgg, but acceptable.

I am just going to transition from A64 x2 to c2d (I just bought an Asus P5W DH Deluxe and Intel BoxDG31PR) mobo and am looking for quality, stable, and compatible memory.

I am thinking about getting one of these sets for the P5W, and the Crucial 2 x 1 GB set listed in another Hot Deals thread for the BoxDG31PR.

What do you think?

edit: actually, if you say they are compatible, I will probably just get the OCZ for the P5W.

My last Newegg memory via UPS, was in a padded envelope. Seems like bad packing, but they are doing it with all shipping carriers it appears.

Heads Up about Rebate: UPC codes don't match!

Rebate form says 842021001235, while my actual upc says 842024004271.

I am going to e-mail Newegg and hopefully everyone else will also; they need to upload a correct rebate form, or credit our accounts for rebate amount.

Anybody buying today, it appears there is a new rebate (looks like correct upc, but check for yourself) properly linked at Newegg.

Cogswell's link was the one newegg chat gave me for prior purchase and matched upc of memory I got.
