OCZ 2gb(2x1024) platinum @ 2-3-2-5 ? Wow!

I read a review of these O/C to 232mhz DDR465 at the same timings. The review stated they topped out at this point. But I find it kind of hard to believe they could run lowest timings at max speed?

OCZ 2gb platinum dual channel kit

They are expensive $500, but for those who must have 2gb and want to be able to O/C their ram😀😀😀

And I just fitted 2 x 1 GB Crucial Ballistix PC4000 running DDR482 8-3-3-3 1T today, I am getting 6635mb/sec in sandra 2005 memory benchmark and 3198mb/sec in memtest. What are you getting out of interest? (Hope I dont regret this purchase already!)

You should be able to get better timings than that. I have the same RAM in 2x512 flavor and it'll do 2.5-2-2-7 1T at that speed and voltage. Crank it up!

i bought some cheap infinion pc3200 ram - $240 for 2 x 1Gb sticks and its running 220FSB @ 3-4-4-8-1T 2.7v timings on my system. Sandra bandwidth is 6420/6360 and im running an 11x multi so get 2.42Ghz overclock.

I think value for money wise, you cant go wrong with that.

 the increased bandwidth of maybe 900-1000 points the OCZ would offer is definately not worth the extra $270, you made a wize choice IMO.

As far as value, none of the "performance" RAM is a good value. But for people that like to tweak, and push the limits, they sure are fun.

I compare the two like this... A sports car, and an economy car will both get you from point A to point B. The sports car is not normally a good value in comparison, but a whole lot more fun. 😎
