I'm fully expecting an email apologizing for the typo and order cancellation in a few hours. In the meanwhile, these guy have harvested a shitload of real email addies. :whiste:

I'm sure news of this deal has propagated far and wide and for them to still have "stock" is pretty far fetched.

Showing up as "Out of Stock" now. Also the part number corresponds to "Agility 1" (Indilinx). Still it is heck of a price for a $250GB SSD for those who end up getting it.

Yeah I actually didn't look closely, thought it was an Agility 2. But as you said, still an incredible price for 250GB of solid state storage if any end up going through.

I was thinking,
if I were a cracker and wanted to get some CC/Debit card details, what would I do? Maybe take over a site or set up a mirror site. Post some very good deals on a couple of forums. This way I get names, addresses, phone numbers, CC/debit numbers, expiration dates. Out of 100,000 I may get 1000-2000 useful entries for ID theft, etc.
Probably just a price mistake and I'm probably paranoid, but I figure "if it's too good to be true then someone and their money may soon be parted" (mixing metaphors here).

There are SOME good uses for Paypal. Although I wouldn't trust Paypal any farther than I can throw them, they can at least be the middleman in this sort of situation. That and using AX as your payment source.

fticomputer has an excellent rating on resellerratings (9.38 6mo) although the lifetime rating (which RR isn't showing on the default page anymore?) is 6.07... Wonder if this one was stuffed.

The other interesting detail is that fti is specifying these are drop-shipped from OCZ.

The deal is dead, unless one of those other sites that people found are actually shipping them out. :(

I'm in for one from FTI - on AMEX, so hoping for the best.... The drop-ship thing seems very odd given condition is allegedly "New'.

[EDIT] FTI link now dead - expecting cancellation/error e-mail any moment.

I called to ask about how to fix my login as I never got any emails about my order although the funds from paypal were removed from my account.

"Janice", who answered the phone, said that they recieved over 700 orders and were canceling them all.

As for processing the refunds, she says she was doing that now and about half way done since 8am this morning. Sill waiting on my refund.

Funny thing was the first she asked if I had ordered the OCZ part. I really didn't want to say 'yes'. Heck, I didn't want to call, but I felt odd my login did not work, nor getting any confirmation emails.

As I was typing this, I noticed my refund came in. At least we know they ren't a fly by night scam place to steal $$. Just a simple price error.

On to the next deal.

Just got the refund. Seems like they were simply harvesting personal info ... to be used later ;)

All of these companies likely share a similar reseller with the potential to repeat the same price mistakes. I guess there's no one around to vet prices on a weekend. And the chance still remains for orders that have slipped through the system to be recalled and returned to the sender. Though congrats to everyone who eventually gets as Agility 2 for a great price. :)

They refunded saying it's out of stock perhaps those that got in when the deal was initially discovered may have their order processed. I payed by CC under paypal, which actually took awhile because i did not know you cannot use CC if you have a paypal balance had to move it all to the bank first then added/removed my CC like 4 times in the process and now on my cc activity info it shows paypal with pending charges of 1$ 4 times along with the total amount of the initial order? I better get all this stuff cleared out.

After finding out they will cancel im trying to delete my account i created with them but i dont see that option on the hawkexpress page?

How do you check order status anyway? I'm sure mine got cancelled, but I've yet to receive an email about it.
