How is this ram? I'm using 1gb of Corsair Value Series, and this would be accompanying it for use in a large ramdisk.

Btw, is it ok to use 1gb of 1 dual channel manufacturer along with 1gb of another, or should the same ram be used in all 4 slots?

To answer your second question, in general, it is safe to mix RAM from different manufacturers. What you might need to worry about is having RAM occupying all four slots. Depending on the quality of your motherboard, your system may become unstable.

Thanks. Btw I'm using an Abit Av8

RAM is alright. Definatley not an overclockers ram. But if you need dual channel...it's decent. The rebate is good too. I bought this kit and a Seagate 200 gig back on the labor day sale. I received the rebate weeks ago but still waiting on the Seagate 🙁

I picked this ram up a while back for $100. Timings are horrible, but the stuff OCed surprisingly well. I got mine up to around 248MHz.
