I hate the climate in Southern Ontario. It's -35 (celcius) in the winter and +35 in the summer. We get TWO weeks of nice weather a year. One week of spring, and one week of fall.

I don't know about that, a couple of years ago I was still hiking in shorts the 3rd week of October, up in the Orangeville area. And the next Spring it was around 80'F April 1st.

That said it has been a crappy cool summer, so it shouldn't be unexpected to be getting a little snow so early. This winter sound like it's going to be fun, they're forcasting a cold winter with probably lots of snow.
