There is something wrong with having to pay taxes on money you haven't earned yet.

Hmm... Do I have to do my taxes this year? I just turned 18 on august 30th and I haven't had any income yet.

Kelvrick, you might as well do it to try to get the hang of it. I don't think it could take longer than an hour or two with a computer program if you don't have income. I'm not sure if you have to.

Freejack2, Oct. 15 is the deadline for 2000 tax returns for everyone if you've received permission to get an extention. You needed to pay your taxes last April 15 though.
