O'clocking and Memory Timing Question

I am thinking about adding another 1GB PC3200 RAM to my system. So, eventually, I will have 4 sticks of 512MB of this memory:

Corsair XMS 1GB PC3200 Memory

In my current set-up, 1GB is set up to run in dual channel mode. These are the current settings (from CPU-Z):

Frequency: 220.0 MHz
FSB-DRAM: CPU/5
Cas# Latency: 2.0 clocks
RAS# to CAS# delay: 3 clocks
RAS# Precharge: 3 clocks
Cycle Time (Tras): 8 clocks
Bank Cycle Time (Trc): 12 clocks
DRAM Idle Timer: 16 clocks

My system is overclocked just a little. It is running at 220FSB x 11 (=2400Mhz) at max. Most of the time it is running at 220FSB x 5 = 1100Mhz.

My question is that will it still be running at OC'ed speed when I add another GB? or at PC3200 stock speed if I return to stock settings? I have heard that when you have 4 sticks, your memory runs at PC2700 speed. Is that the case with San Diego 3700+ as well?

Appreciate all your help in advance. Thanks.

I actually just went through that whole deal myself! :( OK the San diego will run 4 sticks of ram in dual channel at DDR400 no problem(unlike the winchesters). Keep in mind this is at 2T. It will no longer run it a 1T with all slots populated. I had a 3700+ diego before my X2 and it wouldn't overclock with 4 sticks. Got it to 220x11 1:1 just like you and it would crash every 5 minutes. I was using 4 stick of geil ultra DDR550. The solution....well I ordered the Corsair XMS dual channel kit(Twinx2048-3200c2pt) from the egg for around $230. Now I couldn't be happier. These are AWESOME for 1gig sticks. They will do 2.5-3-3-6 1T all the way up to 237(474MHz) and you're only using 2 slots! :) Had to have it for BF2. Selling my geil on ebay right now. So maybe you could sell your other gig and try the 2gig kit. You won't be dissapointed.

Thanks for quick reply. Can you please explain more about 1T/2T. I don't know much about that. Have heard quite often but don't exactly know what that is. Is running at 1T faster than 2T? Thanks.

Well the 1T command is quite a bit faster than the 2T command. Has something to do with latency I guess. I noticed a difference in frame rates and benchmarks when I started running 1T. It's not a huge difference but again 4 sticks of dual sided ram will probably really hurt your overclocking. That's why I was soooo mad. I spent all that money on a new water cooling setup just to find out overclocking sucks with 4 sticks of ram. Expensive ram too!! :(
Now I have the Twinx2048-3200c2pt 2gig kit and I couldn't be happier. Sorry Corsair I will never leave u again ;)
