i've got this P4 1.8 sitting stable @ 2.5Ghz, but i'm getting a little worried about temp. whats a safe max temp this thing should run at max load? so far its maxxed at 51C, idle is 41-42C

Edit: i'm tracking temps with ASUS probe, so take that as you will  BIOS seems to be reading equal temps though.

Those are decent temps, even on an Asus board. Now you can try for 2.8ghz.:D

Asus are known for under-temping, so just make sure your reported temps don't reach 60ish. That might cause your processor to die early (if that matters to you which it might not since you would probably upgrade from a 1.8 pretty soon, hopefully).

i downloaded MBM5 also, and thats reading the same temps...but i suppose since its coming off the same sensors...anyway, its rock solid here @ 2.5Ghz, so i may just leave it for the sake of proccessor life. Vcore is 1.65, max temp @full load about 53C, Idle 38-40C (cranked up the A/C and took case panel off =)

Edit: dropped RAM timings to 2.5-2-2-5

My 1.8@2.4 Vcore 1.675 runs upper 50'sC under load. That it is on a Epox 4g4a. This combo is almost two years old.
