I could use some help overclocking my system. I have updated the CPU's from Opteron 254's to 290's. I updated the bios to 1009 (latest).

My heatsinks are thermalright XP-90c so cooling is pretty good. As of now the memory buss is at 216mhz with the voltage @ 2.8 and its stable.

Now I want to turn up the CPU buss and wondering if this affects the memory busses stability.

Any info is good info and appreciated.

Thanks

You need to set the bios to no more then abou 214 HTT....then you need to get clockgen for nvidia boards...then adjust your fsb in windows....

You will need to set your divider to an idea of where you think you may get to...

Also the board will allow you to adjust vcore one nothcof .05v...set it to that....then if you use cyrstalID somtheing or other you can actually get another .05v if you need it...

My 265's (1.8ghz) were able to run 2.5ghz...

Duvie,
When I set the memory buss to 216 (433 ddr) when my machine post it say the CPU buss is clocked at 100mhz... what gives?

Also in bios under memory options it gives 100, 133, 166, 200, 216, 233 250... Why?

Thanks for your help.
