Ocean's 12

i liked the story in the first one better -- however they did a good job with what they had in the second. I do agree that it was more confusing -- and the fact that it was so much 'artsier' than the first one was kind of wierd. In the end however, i still really enjoyed it. It was very funny.

Like Ocean's 11, you have to ignore everything that happened in the movie up to the ending for the ending to be believable.

I enjoyed it. I didn't like how they never showed the actual heist until the end, but it was still a good laugh.

SPOILER(possibly)
What did you think of that scene with the Nightfox doing the capoeira(I think that's what it is) going through the lasers?

kind of over the top --- i think that was intended though. THe whole 'nightfox' thing kinda bothered me -- his story just didnt seem plausible enough to me.

**spoilers***

And if they had the egg all that time (after taking it from the guy on the train) why did they have to go throught the motions of trying to steal the fake one? And if they all knew that they actually had the egg -- why did matt damon's character feel the need to call julia roberts in to help steal the fake one considering he knew they get arrested no matter what AND they had the real one anyways.

I enjoyed it. Wished they had more of the other castmembers in it. At times they could have been replaced with blowup dolls and no one would have noticed. It was basically a movie about Matt, Brad, Julia, Zeta, and Clowney.

I thought it kind of sucked. as to the french guy capoiera + laser scene, I enjoyed the catherine zeta jones laser scene in entrapment much more.

*Spoiler

I also found the french guy much more badass than the ocean crew. I felt sort of cheated by the way that the ocean crew "won" the bet.

no kidding, he didn't use any state of the art technology, and ocean's just picked up a freakin' bookbag

I enjoyed it, but I did have some problems with it.

*** SPOILERS ***

The holographic egg was just stupid.

The scene with him jumping through the lasers was stupid.

They tried to make it too "Usual Suspect" in respect to story telling and plot. While the story was decent, the manner in which it was told wasn't as good as it could have been better.

I did like Matt Damon and there were lots of funny scenes. The actual heist on the train was hilarious. The meeting where they messed with Damon was funny. Several great one liners from Pitt.

they stole that idea from john woo's once a thief, but I heard they were orginally written the script for john woo. so who knows.

I found it confusing and it didn't make sense at the end

SPOILERS:

What didn't make sense like someone mentioned was why did they still try the daylight heist if they already had the egg? At first I thought maybe it was to trick Bennedict, but then they gave Bennedict the check so that didn't make sense.

Also the whole randomly moving lasers didn't make sense. How does the computer know there is a break in the laser, if the laser is randomly moving and the distance is always changing?

I liked Ocean's 11 a LOT more than Ocean's 12. I jsut couldn't get into the new one that much, but it was well acted.

Dave

the thing I hate about ocean's 12 is the story. In the previous installment, everyone in the 11 people team has a purpose. This leads me to care about all of them. I didn't feel that in the sequal.

I agree with you on the lasers. Also, french guy didn't have any special glasses so how can he see the lasers? lasers don't show up like that without interference.
