I want *all money eliminated from the process, unions included. IANAL, but want whatever language allows for the least amount of potential wiggle room. However it is potentially written, some group will challenge most likely. That make sense?

edit: to be clear, individual donations would be fine of course, within reason.

I think it should be pretty simply worded than. Something which basically says they can only use the Presidential Fund...and such a thing wll need to be setup for Congress as well.

He regularly backs out of arguments he's lost by "ignoring" people, and then making overt comments about his doing so.

I put quotes around "ignoring" because he frequently uses the threat of ignoring as if it would have some sort of impact on others. Often times he claims to ignore somebody simply to escape an argument, while never really placing them on his list. He's been caught several times doing this.

Let's be clear. What I'm saying is that the movement should not be condemned for the inevitable bad behaviors and problems that will always come with groups in this situation.

I'm not 'supporting the behavior'.

I'm saying my support for the movement is not affected by the behavior.

There are idiots who are going to make an issue of every unpleasant thing they can find anyone in the movement does, effectively fighting the movement. They're wrong.

Yea, I am familiar with his multi-tiered "ignore" schema. I just find it hypocritical for him to put someone on ignore for what? Calling him a moron when Craig234 routinely calls people idiots?

Whatever, to anyone with a brain it is plainly a transparent ploy for exerting that last bit of control over and/or to punish someone you disagree with, or as you say, lost an argument too.

perfect except there aren't enough jobs and thats part of the reason the people are protesting. But yeah other then the fact there isn't any work they should all totally get back to it.

If it's any consolation there's not enough jobs at Bagram Airfield either. With a population of some 24,000 service members and contractors, you'll find long lines at the several post exchanges, Green Bean Coffee houses, Dairy Queen, and movie theaters throughout the day. In the evenings some of the large buildings are bustling with the activity of themed dances, with a different theme every night of the week, including salsa night, country western night, hip hop night, etc.

No. You can check the Bagram wiki for specifics, but the only real danger is indirect fire. They used to take indirect fire every day, but it's pretty sporadic now. There was one "spectacular" attack against BAF in 2010, with a dozen suicide bombers and small arms fire, but the airmen in the towers killed them all. IIRC 9 or 10 US forces were injured, but no one was killed.

I had a couple of rockets hit 100-150m away from me one night in 2010 while I was walking along Disney Ave (the main drag on BAF.) I saw the flash, and then the boom, and then another flash, and another boom, I'm sure the delay was exagerated in my brain. But I stood there with another Army officer and said, "What the fuck is that?" And he was like, "I think it's rockets or mortars or something." At that point all the BAF residents started running around like ants in a mound that got kicked. Some Air Force Security Forces guys told us to get in the hospital because it was "hardened." So we're crowded in there with a ton of airmen, some of whom are wearing all their armor, kevlar, etc. and I hear this airman go, "Do you think salsa night is going to start back up after this?"

After hanging out in there for about half an hour, myself, the other US Army officer and a Jordanian psychiatrist Colonel conspire to leave the hospital to go back to the visitor billets, since we figured neither building was going to stop a rocket, and frankly I'd rather die playing PSP than listen to airmen complain about the woes of BAF life. We thought we were being pretty slick avoiding the security forces patrols, ducking behind cargo containers and whatnot, and we were about 200m away from our little hut when a HMMWV comes roaring up with lights and sirens and hits us with the lights. As the security forces NCO explained as he escorted us back to the hospital, their aerial surveillance saw us on thermal sneaking around and they thought we were bad guys infiltrating the camp. 😀
