Government got us into this mess by letting Fannie and Freddie run wild. Government is the problem not the solution. Far as I am concerned barney frank, Chris Dodd and associates should be in hand cuffs for letting this happen. They are the ones who lead the coalition to block reform years ago to protect their own interest. Then they lied years later saying there was nt problem with Fannie and Freddie.

The OWS should be in front of the capitol and white house. They are the ones who created this mess and were bought off to look the other way.

That's a bit one sided view - deregulation and ignorance of systematic issues and unchecked leverage on the part of SEC is to blame also.

Oh no, does people making fun of the Army make you sad? If I didn't already have a costume for this year I would do it again, just for you. The idiots who flip out about how someone is wearing a uniform miss the entire point of what being in the military is about.
There is a big difference between wearing pieces of your old uniform to demonstrate that you once served, and modifying it in a way that intentionally mocks the Services as a whole.

In other words, I have a bigger personal problem with what you did than I do with the former Marine at the protest.

Of course you had the right to do so, but there was absolutely nothing honorable or admirable in what you did... perhaps you've completely forgotten the meaning of the word "honor"? How about "respect"?

/sigh...

BTW, Cream is nothing but cow fat.

Curd is where you get the best cheese. Can the stupid analogies, they do you no service.

The point is in America you can work hard, make good decisions and you can and likely will be successful and in the top 5% of earners and do pretty well. Those that complain don't understand this simple fact. It's not the banks, it's not capitalism, it's not whatever excuse these hippies have holding you down - it's only yourself to blame. Personal responsibility is a wonderful thing, it empowers and even drives you to become successful.

Honor has literally zero to do with how you wear a uniform. Like, less than zero. I will intentionally mock the services all I want, and if I remember next time I'm doing it, I'll add just a little extra all for you. Anyone who actually cares for what the services stand for should not only accept mockery of them, but embrace it.

I couldn't possibly care less what problems you have with my military service. I knew plenty of people just like you during my time, always missing the forest for the trees.

Oh, and I know the meaning of the word 'respect' quite well. I can even use it in a sentence: "I have no respect for you whatsoever."

LOL! Here's their new pay scales they demand. Tell me again this isn't communist? Read the shit in their document.

To ensure that our government is addressing the needs of its tax paying citizens, it should be held accountable for achieving specific Gross National Happiness index target values (see Bhutan).

Both absurd and retarded, even Castro would go wtf. I can see people lining up to spend 8+ year for an MD degree instead of working at the DMV. Whoever wrote that up literally has a double digit IQ.

Love the quip about derivatives, clearly written by someone with a wikipedia knowledge of the subject.

There's no need to start repeating yourself. You've already made it quite clear to everyone that you have no respect for soldiers.

Holy crap ...

I consider myself to be a pretty liberal person, but this is completely insane ....

I'd consider many options to try to shrink the disparity between the extreme top and the regular joe ... but not something that would fvck over all the rich as well as what remains of the middle class ...

She had a 5500 MAC? who in the 99% crowd could afford such things. The thief just 'Taxed' here on that ill gotten apple.
The irony of the stolen $5500 MacBook was certainly not lost on me. In fact, it's a perfect example of everything that is wrong with the OWS protesters and their supposed ideals...

There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

They should just chalk it up to the redistribution of wealth they support, as well as the thief helping her cleanse her soul of that evil corporate tool.

Christ, a $5500 notebook. I am trying to justify a $1300 MacBook Air and I have a secure job and well paid.

It's appears she's another trust fund powered weekend revolutionist.

Agreed. Demanding that your creditor gift you your $5500 MacBook while decrying those who stole it is literally the definition of irony.

This,
I've got the first gen macbook air that I got on ebay with a busted screen...

Some people are attacking the wealthy for supporting the reduction in the concentration of wealth? With idiots like this in our population, who needs enemies?
