Sorry to hear about it. I think you'll find new ways to accomplish things but it will take time. Keep fighting thru the frustration and visit disability sites/forums and whatever else to keep moving forward and not getting depressed.

As for using the computer, there are one-hand keyboards, hands-free mice, and foot-controlled mouse buttons, etc.

Good luck, and I hope you're able to gain usability in your left arm at some point.

Wow, yeah. When I win the lottery I will pick one up. I can not even afford to buy a new keyboard/mouse for my computer as it is (albeit I am picky, I like those $75 logitech ones)

Thank you for the support everyone :)

As to the condition of my stroke, I am still waiting to get an MRI/CAT scan. I think I am shipping to Anchorage this week some time for them to confirm. There is a possibility it is a pinched nerve... but I doubt it. Once a nerve is pinched/damaged that it. No more healing currently possible that I know of. The night in question was Friday night/Saturday morning last week while sleeping. I woke up and felt normal... except my left arm was "asleep". I could feel it, but not move it. I did not think much of it, I had limbs fall asleep. Although mostly hands or feet.
After 30 minutes of it not waking up I got worried and called my mother. She brought me to the local hospital and the doctor was puzzled. There was zero reflexes and no muscle control. She even gave me a small black eye dropping my hand on my eye :|
The rest of my left side is okay though. My left leg works just fine, I have no facial contortion or anything else. I have since regained very limited ... about 2% of my left arm movement, but virtually zero coordination.

Have your doctor refer you to your state's Division of Vocational Rehab (DVR). They can offer counseling and pay for re-education, training and, books/materials. This is a great resource that can get you back on your feet doing something you enjoy. Your doctor must refer you as you cannot refer yourself. Do it.

Any idea's? All the work I used to do I can no longer do.
Past experience includes: Cooking, Networking, Managing, Computer hardware tech.
I thought about going back into management in a store or something. But the stores here... even the managers do a lot of manual labor.

Overall this is so depressing though. I can not even eat a steak or button my pants. I honestly do not know what to do.
Honestly man i have the samething wrong with me i had a stroke at 18 had just grad from hishschool . I have been trying to get my life together for 7 years my arm has been paralized i learned that noone care or want to help people all they do is discriminate and call us lazy. But i actually was working with a marketing company they decided that job was not for me either . I have tried just about everything. But i just need to trust god and leave it in his hand just keep applying yourself and be grateful to be alive i know i am even though some times i get discouraged i never gorget god has a plan for everybody
