This is the new general direction for the Democrats. Keep lowering the bar and making excuses for those that refuse to put effort in and better themselves then give all those people everything they need for free to buy their votes. Meanwhile the quality of our country as a whole continues to drop. Trump is EXACTLY what America needed, when we needed him.
 
Im uncomfortable with the extremes on either side. Socialism is the direction the left seems to be going.

We are already overpaying for it.
We currently pay 2x as much per person in the US for healthcare than similar countries and still don't cover everyone. It's not a matter of cost. It's a matter of efficiency. If we could get down to the efficiency of the UK or France we could cover everyone and still spend about 1/2 the amount we are currently spending in aggregate.

There is very little reason why healthcare can't be a public good any different than say public school. Its mostly a matter of political will (ie choosing public interests over special interests)

Another one of the FYGM people. As long as you are good, everyone else can f off. Who cares about the health and future of our country and children according to you.

Sure everything doesn't need to be free to everyone but Healthcare should be a basic right. The right to live, not the right to go bankrupt because you got sick.

You do know that fossil fuels are not going to last forever right? We only have a few decades until there will be worldwide shortages of oil.

As Ive previously stated, Im open to a "Medicare for all" type system.

As far as fossil fuels, we arent shot, so what the fuck is your issue? Do you disagree fossil fuels aqre not the most efficient?
