OMG, there is this kid in my class who like to show off. He think he has the best computer parts and stuff. I asked him what his parents would do if he got very good grades. He said they would get him a t-3 computer.
I said "What's a t3 computer? T3 is an internet connection".
He said,"I know".
I say,"You jack@ass, can you afford it?".
He says,"yes".
WTF!!! He's a dumb@ss!!! His parents only make $4000 month and he can get t3!!!

No, No, and No. Bandwidth that large is not intended for the end user (or end company). It is used for internet backbone.
 
want to hear something funny? we have invested $500 million in Sprint ION. We have dozens of OC48 facilities and DWDM channels dedicated to ION routers. Guess how many customers we have.... 1,000. yup. good job, boys.

Those calculating OCX as X * 51Mbps = bandwidth are technically correct, but only in terms of gross bandwidth. The actual usable bandwidth of an OC1 is 49.536Mbps. Assuming the OC192 is not concatenated (which would give it less overhead, but if it were concatenated it would be designated with OC192c), the actual usable bandwidth is ~9.5 gbps
