OC your HD?

How does one go about OC'ing their HD? Saw some refernce to it on BBSpot and am confuzed.

On boards that don't feature pci lock when you up the fsb the pci bus goes along for the ride so if your IDE is on the pci bus, in a sense you could call that overclocking your HDD I suppose.

I think the fact that you saw it on BBSpot gives you your answer to that question.

Just look at the rest of the content there, and you'll know what i'm talking about

That's what I saw. Running at 8000 or 8600. Is that just bs?

Plain BS. The control system in the hdd would not be able to handle such an increase in spindle speed.
