OC your HD?

On boards that don't feature pci lock when you up the fsb the pci bus goes along for the ride so if your IDE is on the pci bus, in a sense you could call that overclocking your HDD I suppose.

That's what I saw. Running at 8000 or 8600. Is that just bs?

Plain BS. The control system in the hdd would not be able to handle such an increase in spindle speed.
