Buddy wants me to OC his amd system, but I only have experience ocing my P4. Hes got a 3000+ newcastle 64 and 512mb of Corsair value select PC3200 on an asus board. Im not planning on maxing it out, but I think it could go up another 200mhz at least.

Should I lower the ram speed and change the ratio, or should I try overclocking his ram? I know a lot of you folks have similar setups, so please tell me - what has worked for you?

well u can up the vdimm to 2.7-2.8 and try and hit 220fsb at 1:1 without changing the timings first.
