I´m being unable to overclock my T-Bird 1GHz. No matter what configuration I choose, the system doesn´t boot.
I own a ABIT KT7A-RAID motherboard (it was suppossed to be one of the best OC mobo´s...)
My T-Bird is default clocked at 100MHz FSB, 10x multiplier, but any increase in FSB freq makes the system not to boot (of course I lower the multiplier accordingly).
I´m not sure what the problem is, maybe the SDRAM module? It´s a Green Memory Module (I know, it´s not the best, but it´s all I can get here in Argentina)
Any sugestion will be greatly apreciated.-
**UPDATE**
Finally I have unlocked my AXHA Thunderbird 1000, using conductive silver paint and a needle. It was very easy (I thought it would be more difficult due to the very small size of those bridges).
Now my chip is running very well @ 1000 MHz (133FSB 7.5x)
I´ll play a bit to see how far it goes... my only concern is temperature, at idle is about 40°C (25°C ambient)
Thanks everybody.-
