OC PLS monitor questions

I finally decided to OC my X-star PLS monitor. I started with a conservative OC of 85 (used 85 because that is what my OLD CRT refresh rate was). I have 2 monitors the X-star and an HP Elite l2201x (DP connection only) and I checked:

to test the refresh rate and it now shows 85. Funny thing is when I tried it on my HP monitor it now also shows 85. By OC the X-star did I also OC the HP monitor?? Or I did not really OC anything??? If I also OC the HP it took it fine lol

The hp it may support it or it skips frames. My pb278q can as any of them go at 1440p till 85hz but they skip a frame. Frame skipping from the test ufo page can provide you with the answer.

What's your opinion on the Samsung PLS panel? Not really any reviews around that I have seen except for the Tek Syndicate one. They seem to think it's equal or better than the LG IPS panel. I was thinking about getting one later this year, just wanted to ask a owner.

I checked with the ufo test and it does not report any frame skipping. I played with it a little more and when I oc the X-Star it OC the HP. I set it back at 60 and the HP goes back to 60 too. Weird. Anybody else using 2 monitors (X-Star or Qnix and some other brand) and seenig the same behavior??

What's your opinion on the Samsung PLS panel? Not really any reviews around that I have seen except for the Tek Syndicate one. They seem to think it's equal or better than the LG IPS panel. I was thinking about getting one later this year, just wanted to ask a owner.

I went from a 27 TN panel (one of the better ones) the TN was not as bad as some others. I also have a 20 DELL and 20 HP TN panels and the DELL specially was terrible in all aspects even when compared to the 27 TN. I then got the HP elite L2201x for my secondary monitor. It is a MVA panel and that is when I first saw the difference with a TN panel. Not only the vieweing angles but the colors themselves. Black specially. It has a very poor refresh rate (16 ms) But still I played some games like bastion and Torchlight because the colors were so much better and for those games a 16 ms refresh is not bad at all and I did not noticed any problems at all but the colors came to life. I decided to get a Korean monitor from ebay then and I settled for the X-Star and I do not regret it. Blacks are not as black as on the HP one but colors are way better than the TN. I calibrated all my monitors with a colorimeter and once the X-Star is calibrated it looks pretty much the same as the HP (I could never do that with the TN even after calibrating). I just barely starting to OC it and it took it fine. I see no color shift or discolorations or dark spots but I am only OC it to 85 so that should be easy. I got no dead pixels and very minimal light bleeding so I am really happy with it for the $279 I paid for it. Just be aware that u get no warranty and you might get one with dead pixels and some have relly bad light bleed. Also the stand is crap (I used the same wall mount I have for the 27 TN one it replaced so I did not care). I also had to open the monitor to remove the stub from the base of the monitor stand. (again I was aware of it) and if you get really bad light bleed you will have to open it up and either fix the frame or do the tape trick or both ( again I was aware of it and I was prepared to do it).
