can anyone confirm these deals for northern california? i only get the argus which only has the one back page ads.... wish they'd do the full page ads in my paper.. 🙁

i bought that fic az11/800mhz duron about 3 weeks ago for $109 so id be nice to get a price adjustment on it... plus my old floppy drive is getting alittle old and dusty.. maybe it's time to get a new cheapo one.. 🙂

ugh. was just looking at the 30day low price policy... only 15days for microprocessors... since i bought it as a combo, does that not count or do i not my $10 price adj.... doh!

NoCal AZ11/Duron 800 (retail) is $109. They also have a nice 1.2 (266) Athlon (retail)/KK266 combo for $229 -- that's about $30 less than the epox/1.13 combo they had just 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Rawhyde-

when you say a 1.2(266) Athlon and KK266. Are you talking about the IWILL KK266?

Also, which Northern Cali FRYs are you shopping. San Jose? I have some friends up there I would like to get it for me.

eeman:
It's the IWill kk266 with the boxed/retail 266FSB 1.2 GHz Athlon, but the price for the combo in the BayArea is 239.00.
The SKU# is 2969785.

man, that 256MB pc133 ram for $44.95 is very tempting, even for generic ram. last time i bought fry's ram was 128mb pc100 mixed chip generic ram for like 100 bux..

how's the fry's generic ram nowadays? any better than before or is it the same cheap "mixed chip" ram as it used to be?

even though i cant get a better deal on my az11/800 duron, can someone tell me if the nor-cal fry's has the $10 special on floppy drives? thanks

dakata24:
They have the 9.99 floppy drives at the BayArea Fry's. About the generic ram, I don't know. The last time I bought the generic stuff (it was PC-100), it was OK. As far as the PC133, I've never bought the generic stuff. The good thing about Fry's is you can turn it back in if you don't like it. Just remember that the CPU's and memory have a 14 day return policy instead of the 30 day satisfaction guaranty that applies to just about everything else.

esquared: thanks.. guess ill be making a trip to fry's tomorrow morning.. i really need to get a sj mercury subscription or something. wish me luck... hope i get out of there alive 😛

Gnaish:
I checked the Cendyne CDRW yesterday at Fry's and nowhere on the box did it say burn-proof or write-proof so I didn't buy it. Not sure what the brand might be this time from Cendyne.
