That is what I think I am going to get unless there is a good reason to go with

Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 2GB Kit DDR2-800 XMS2-6400 for 181

I am just not sure what sort of difference in performance I would get, and overclocking ability for the extra 31 bucks.

Otherwise I am going with E6300, Gigabyte ds3, X1800xt, just can't decide on the ram.

i have the exact same stuff (except for e6400). i got the PC2-6400 and it's friggin awesome. 4-4-4-10 timings at 800MHz, 5-4-5-10 @ 963MHz, i think it can hit DDR2-1000 if i bump it to 2.2V. Not bad for RAM rated at DDR2-800 5-5-5-12.

not sure how much the first sticks can OC, considering that corsair's PC2-6400 C4 hit about 1100MHz, and the C5 sticks top out around 1000, i'd bet the DDR2-675 C4 would top out around 850MHz. if you want a good OC on the e6300, you'll need something you know will hit 900MHz reliably (necessary to get over 3GHz with a 7x multi).

FYI, provided you can get a good OC on that e6300, you are gonna LOVE the performance on that rig.
