OC cpu = faster vid?

There wouldn't be a VID CARD speed increase, but your game speed will improve. Its not like when u OC a CPU that u can sumhow get your Vid Card running faster. (Unless you unlock those AGP/PCI dividers and gamble with overclocking that AGP bus!)

Increasing your FSB always yields a nice performance in video performance. I went from 6900-9100 3DMarks simply by overclocking from 11.5*133 to 12*200, almost a 50% boost!🙂

i guess you're talking about 3dmark 2001. the 2001 version was more of a system than a videocard only benchmark. so the increase is solely due to the cpu-oc. 3d mark 2003 on the other hand is a vid-card only benchmrk (you get the same results when a 9700 pro is mounted in a p2-350 as if it is mounted on a p4).

if you oc your cpu (and the agp-clock stays the same) you won't see any difference on your vid-card only. but the overall system gets a performance boost (which also helps while playing games) 😉

when going from 2.4 to 2.5 with my 9600 pro @ 500/650 I got a 500 3dmark2001 jump, so a little increase but not that noticeable.
