i have a dell p4 1.8 and i want to OC it some, but the bios won't let me. is there a safe way to OC a dell?

you may be able to use "clockgen" (google will find it) if you can find out which clock generator chip you have (aka PLL). However, if your chip is good enough, you may just be able to remove a pin to make the CPU run at 133 FSB essentially making your CPU a 2.4GHz. This mod is permanent and could potentially make your CPU trash. If you'd like a link, reply and I'll find it.

Unicore offers to custom build a bios for sysyems that have such features lacking in the user-menus.
These (oc-memcontols) features are present in all bios from all mfgrs, but some choose to hide them from view (or the user )

go to http://www.unicore.com/ for around $25 to 60 usd they will offer you some kind of a solution.
