Are you working at the moment? If so, is your company willing to pay for your education? Usually, thats the best bet.

contact the schools/DEPARTMENTS themselves and ask about fellowships, special scholarships, etc. If you are a *hot* candidate you may get quite a bit of help. Fill out you FAFSA and inquire at financial aid office as well. Then go somewhere like Fastweb and look and see what others come up. I am assuming you are not a veteran, but in case you are, GI Bill.

yes i am not a veteran. i'm 25, live on my own, hold a BA in communications, and MCSE/A+ certifications. i will check out fastweb...

as we all know, master credits are very expensive and i can't afford it right now. i want to see what i qualify for when it comes to grants and scholarships.

You could also consider applying for a Ph.D. Most schools will actually pay you about 30k a year to be a PhD student at their school. Or consider being a TA for undergrad classes. I don't know how much they pay, but it will help reduce the dent of the costs of school.
