Sometimes little things can drive you nuts.
The night before 9/11 we were at the Yankees game. It was rained out, but we hung around for ages before they called the game, playing around in the rain. Roger Clemens was supposed to pitch, and he was going for some record or another.
Does anyone remember what record that was? I know he was close to his 300th win, but was that it? I remember that his mother was at the game because someone we knew had talked to her. She was there to watch him break the record.
I've been googling like crazy and found a lot of interesting stuff about the game, or lack of it, but no info about which record he was attempting to hit that night.
