Checked at our local walmart...the sign near the 360 stand clearly says "march 20th" but when an employee was asked if they had any copies in, they shook their head.
I got mine about 1 1/2 hours ago.
Elder Scrolls 4 looks really good. I'm playing mine on 12x10 resolution on Very High graphics with full HDR and although it's not perfectly smooth, it's very playable and looks amazing. So much for the "maybe 10x7 res at the most with medium settings" rumors i've been hearing....
BTW, mine came on 1 DVD disc. I don't know if they are all DVD, but it seems like it. Just warning you guys in case you dont have a DVD-rom drive, because i know that would make me mad if i got the game home and couldn't play it!

Wow. Thanks for this post! I recently ordered a new system that should be coming this week and I was wondering how it would play Oblivion. It sounds like I shouldn't have any problems on it: Athlon x2 4200+, 2GB, 7900 GT.

Guys - advice please, I have a dilemma. I ordered 4 games from Best Buy.com cuz they sent me a 10% off coupon. Now I'm out of town. Worse, one of the games I ordered was released on 03/14, Syphon Filter - Dark Mirror for my PSP shipped on 03/16, the day after it was released, and it didn't show up. The Best Buy here in Ashland, KY is not convenient, I have to go back to Huntington to pick it up. Can I get a copy from WalFart and return my Best Buy.com copy there unopened?? Yes, bestbuy.com officially sucks.
I'm pretty sure you can return it if it's unopened. If it's opened, you can only exchange it for the same game.
They told me the shipment was arriving at my local bestbuy tonight. I know where I'll be 10am tomorrow.
Entirely new game with prettier graphics and a really fancy AI system. NPCs have a day/night schedule where they go to bed, go to work, eat, feed their pets, etc. All the dialog is also spoken. There's a more streamlined combat system this time around too, and from the videos, it seems less awkward. I can't wait to play this game.
YA I know that, but, considering that it's different stores, I wonder if the Best Buy price tag is going to be easy to pull off without damaging the shrink wrap. I need details

Ships 20th = on shelf 21st. There is the release date, then the street date. They are always a day off except in rare occassions. I think it's silly to have them seperate, but that's just how it usually is. At the Gamestop I worked at, we told people the street date when they asked for the release date. No point in confusing the situation.

Bestbuy.com is horrible place to do business. I had a bad experience weeks ago with my Nintendo DS and now you are back-ordering Oblivion while Walmart, EBGames, and other ship them. I was enticed back with a 10% off coupon. I will never order from Bestbuy.com EVER again for any reason. Not only that but I am doing what I can do to spread your bad customer service by word of mouth. I lost 3 hours of my life hassling with incompetent people on the phone about a defective Nintendo, and now you backorder the game I've been looking forward to for five years while other web sites ship them.
I'm sure you have a lame excuse and you will email me back something syrupy sweet that your lawyers and media relations people designed in some conference room. However, what you email me back is inadequate. The cold, naked truth is that your online web site called "Bestbuy.com" provides terrible customer service, does not train its phone employees to handle calls properly, does not properly anticipate demand, and falls far short of any other store web site. In closing, Bestbuy.com is shadow of the retail operation and a complete utter failure.
Yes I will be costing Bestbuy.com much lost money by word of mouth.
