Oblivion PC tweaks

Does anyone here have an unmodified Oblvion ini file? I forgot to back mine up and I'm trying to do some benchmark runs using the original settings but it'd require me to reinstall the game for that to happen since I changed mine so much. If someone could PM me a link w/their unmodded ini I'd appreciate it.

Nope thanks. RobertR1 sent me a copy. I was testing out how much of a hit the X1900 XTX takes with grass shadows + HQ AF turned on. My findings are here: http://www.clan786.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=1


Anyone know where I can find a shop keeper in the game that buys items that cost around 5000 gold? I've got a couple 5k hammers I need to sell but most dealers only buy items up to 1200 gold which sucks.

Cool. I got another gig of RAM, so no need. I tried to change the preloadsizelimit to 1.5GB.. seemed to work just fine, until I entered the brothel in Anvil and it crashed. Don't know if it was because of that, or if it was the result of my OC.

I must say, after implementing ALL of these tweaks, adding the texture mods, etc... I am REAAAAAAAAAAAALLY freaking impressed with the graphics now... they look very close to the E3 demo, especially in the forest areas. My GPU is getting pwned in the forest (~10-17fp) but it doesn't seem that jerky... its absolutely beautiful.

I turned down the brightness in the in-game video options and the appearance of everything improved 5-fold. For some reason much was washed out but it wasn't apparent until I turned down the brightness, (and digital vibrance). Maybe my 2005fpw is too bright naturally for it. I have brightness at the lowest setting and it looks best

WOW. That is one really, really good tweak, when you do all of them and all.

I don't know if it was the hdr tweak I did, but after applying all of those tweaks I played on my same old CCC settings and stuff but my AA wasn't on. Like I said, I'm checking the hdr tweak they suggested.
